I have tried to install redhat 8.0 on on PIII-600 512 MB RAM ,using various cds including the PCQ linux cds but they all fail during installation giving an error in some or other package ,usually the zlib but not always.All these cds have passed medium integrity checks.After the failure due to the missing bad or corrupt package/file,the anaconda fails giving some python script errors.My PC is now running MDK 9.0 for months.I have tried both ext3 and ext2 partitions.Any pointers. Does this problem persist with RH 9.0.
