You can do that with LFS too. All you need to do is get all the apps u need
 installed on the test bed system. Next, you can create a CD mirroring your 
install, using something like mkCDrec. This can act as a recovery as well as
an install disc. More importantly, one that does an install in less than
5 minutes.
