I have written a script that check if a file is more than 60days old & more than 1GB in size.
The script is giving the output but what is happening is the output is having lines which is reapeating.
that is if a folder is having 3 files, then first folder name is shown 3times with details then the 3files are shown with its detail again.
e.g
/commercial/ashort/scoring/brc/rmg is of 1 GB belongs to ashort of grp: staff created on Oct 4 2001.
/commercial/ashort/scoring/brc/rmg is of 1 GB belongs to ashort of grp: staff created on Oct 4 2001.
/commercial/ashort/scoring/brc/rmg is of 1 GB belongs to ashort of grp: staff created on Oct 4 2001.
/commercial/ashort/scoring/brc/rmg/rmg0108.sas7bdat is of 1 GB belongs to ashort of grp: staff created on Sep 19 2001.
/commercial/ashort/scoring/brc/rmg/rmg0107.sas7bdat is of 1 GB belongs to ashort of grp: staff created on Sep 19 2001.
/commercial/ashort/scoring/brc/rmg/rmg0109.sas7bdat is of 1 GB belongs to ashort of grp: staff created on Oct 4 2001.
/commercial/shodasi is of 1 GB belongs to shodasi of grp: commercial created on Jan 30 15:19.
/commercial/shodasi is of 1 GB belongs to shodasi of grp: commercial created on Jan 30 15:19.
/commercial/shodasi/crc01.sas7bdat is of 1 GB belongs to shodasi of grp: commercial created on Oct 2 2002.
/commercial/shodasi/crc02.sas7bdat is of 1 GB belongs to shodasi of grp: commercial created on Oct 2 2002.
these o/p's go in a file /file_list, which can be seen by running $cat /file_list
What i want is that the repeating line should existing only once & not as many times as the no. of files in the folder.
So is there a way to delete this repeating line & keeping only one instance of the repeating line in the file (here file_list).
