Having a strange problem with my CD-R drive. It writes CD-Rs
(one-time) quite OK. However whenever I try to write a CD-RW
(rewritable) it does the write but then the CD-RW becomes unusable.
I've used the same media on the same drive about 8 months ago, when it
was working just fine.

I tried all the various blank options of cdrecord, but no go -- the
media is not recognisable after cdrecord has written it. Even tried a
write at speed 1, no luck.

In fact, CD-RWs that I wrote earlier are readable just fine -- until I
try to rewrite them. Tried with 4 of them so far.

Kernel 2.4.19
Using ide-scsi mode
cdrecord 1.10

Any suggestions?

Regards,
