Hi,

The thing with DVDROM drives is that you can change the zone settings on most drives 
atleast for 5 times before the change becomes permanent. That is because most new 
DVDROM drives are RPC-2 Compliant which require them to have this 'feature'.

Alternatively you can try to find the RPC-1 firmware for your drive on the web and 
then not have to worry about such issues ;-0. It will ofcourse void the warranty.. but 
if you are looking at coming this far.. ;-)
