I am using debian 3.0r1 woody on a Compaq Evo D510 machine. it has onboard
video card which is intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV. Kernel I am using is 2.4.21.
When I start X server I get the following error.

I dont mean to sound rude.....
but you are crossposting. I have known you on the list for some time now...and
obviously you know the rules as well as I do..
please dont take this personally..
just an advice....you may take it or leave it.
anyhow your question has been awnsered in blug.
Try browsing sourceforge and obtain the driver module for the Xfree version you are
using....
For the video card you are using ....the module for the 845 is obtainable either from
ftp.iitm.ac.in
or else try sourceforge
http://ftp.iitm.ac.in/xfree86/README.Intel845
this link just contains a suggestion ....
but since you are using debian.....try sourceforge.
