I have hosted my DNS using bind9-9.2.2. its working very fine and i can
dig/nslookup my hosts in my domain from different machines on the net.
I then made a slave DNS. Mind you, i have been allocated two ip addresses to
host 2 name servers with the names ns1(135) and ns2(136). SO nothing wrong
on that front as well.
I been thru all the BIND faq's and in my primary NS's 'named.conf' file i
even set this parameter
include "/usr/local/etc/rndc.key";
controls {
inet 127.0.0.1 port 953
allow { 127.0.0.1; } keys { "rndc-key"; };
};
options {
allow-transfer { 200.200.100.136; };
};
Now when ever i start my slave server i get such messages.
Jun 30 20:45:00 named[22867]: dumping master file: tmp-QRuea22867: open:
permission denied
Jun 30 20:45:00 named[22867]: transfer of 'mydomain.com/IN' from
200.200.100.135#53: failed while receiving responses: permission denied
Jun 30 20:45:05 named[22867]: dumping master file: tmp-FuEer22867: open:

Jun 30 20:45:05 named[22867]: transfer of '100.200.200.in-addr.arpa/IN' from
200.200.100.135#53: failed while receiving responses: permission denied
Can anybody please guide me here ?
Thanking you
Arvind
