Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I reinstalled the OS.
The problem reoccurred. Finally found that the CMOS
setup had an invalid system date set. I set it
properly and the OS booted properly. But don't know
why my earlier OS Redhat Linux 7.3 was working
properly under the same condition.
