Hi,
I have configured bind-9.2.1-16 on RedHat 9.0
I started the named daemon by /etc/rc.d/ini.d/named start.
When i do stop, the message given is stopping named... but still the
process is seen in the list.
a ) How can I start/stop the service, do I need to configure
rndc to start and stop the service locally ?
I believe its only for remote connectivity to te named
service and issuing command like stop/start etc..
b) No logs are seen in var/log/messages.
How can I have a seprate log file for bind ?
