hi no idea abt using xmms in less than 10 mb ram but i have a option u might be aware off.....y dont u try using mplayer i have used both xmms and mplayer and i found mplayer better the xmms ....the best part is u can use xmms from konsole mode also u can listen to songs from konsole mode itself and with each and every functionallity that xmms have......even the sound quality is much better than xmms ....
