Dileep M. Kumar [8/11/2003 1:14 PM] :

I have a doubt. We have a our web/mail server configured on a remote
server. We asked the provider to point www and MX record for
sub.ourdomain.com to our Internet Gateway machine. So mails to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] is received on our Gateway machine.

Now I want to send the mails to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] if our Gateway machine is down.

sub.domain.com. IN MX 10 gateway.domain.com.
                IN MX 20 main-mx.domain.com.

Configure main-mx.domain.com. to accept and queue mail for sub.domain.com - simple.. in sendmail - sub.domain.com in /etc/mail/relay-domains, in qmail the file is "/var/qmail/control/rcpthosts" etc etc.
