Hi,

On recommendation I bought Xentrix X7005Q ADSL USB modem for touchtel's
Zipnet ADSL service. The same is running perfectly fine on windows XP. I
want to use the modem on redhat 8.0 machine with 256 MB RAM, PIV, 40 GB HDD.
For that i downloaded eciadsl-usermode rpm version 0.7 and 0.8 to configure
the same.
I found that the USB modem id detected and aliases are created in
/etc/modules.conf file. I then tried configuring using eciconf.sh. I was a
bit puzzled 'cause it asked for the VCI/VPI number which I am not sure.
Secondly, it asked for the PPP mode and it listed a couple of option but i
have no idea for the same. i thought to use default values and let it go for
a while. Next, when i run eci-doctor.sh the only thing i can make out was
that it was unabl;e to find the requisite module called ehci-hcd and dabusb
missing.
Please help.
