Hi All! I am running RHL9 install on P-III 600, 128 MB RAM, 256 MB Swap, ext2 system.
The GNOME/KDE is *very* slow on the system, screen can actaully be seen refreshing! I turned off anti-aliasing of fonts in Gnome, which resulted in some improvement, but not much. Is there a way to stop the new eye-candy features - transclucent selection, antialiased icons etc. or any other suggestions for increasing speed of the system.
