I have been using RedHat 9.0 from the day it was released and I can
assure you the problem you describe hasnt happened with me. I also
donot recall "many many" people facing this problem - atleast this
seems to be one of the rare posting where someone has reported XFree
modules dissapearing.

I donot have any idea about RedHat Support and how effective they are
but I do fail to understand why you need commercial support for
something which is one of the most widely used and supported software.
