Look at the cron enteries for the system.

It is possible that some process are executing during that time which are hogging the
system resources. You could also try seeing all the processes which execute during
that time using top to figure out resource utilization

Hope this helps

Subject: [LIH]Morning Blues

Dear all,

We havae a strange problem. We are using a Wipro PIV machiene as Linux
server with RHL7.3 running Postgresql/apache/squid etc.
We have developed a small software using Postgresql/php.

for last few days we have a strange problem.
In morning ( 6:30 AM) when people start using the software the response
tme for saving a record in our developed software is more than 5 mins.
This continues for over an hour or so. and then the response time drops
to the normal level of few seconds . we donot shut down our servers.
The energy savers features on the server are not On. This happens every
morning for past few days . We have not made any chagnes in our server.
We have tried changing lan card/ switch port etc.

What could be the problem.

Any pointer in this regard will be highly appreciated.

With kind regards
