Hi All,

We have a Redhat Linux 7.3 based NFS server in our
network which serves the home directories to all the
users ( about 25 users) and one more directory, using
NFS. It was working fine uptill now. Very recently we
face a problem such that sometimes when "mount -t
nfs" command is given on the remote machine, there is
no response to this command for a long time. So,
suspecting this to be a problem with the NFS service
on the NFS server, if we try to stop the and start the
NFS service, the "stopping NFS service " message is
seen for a long time. When I boot the server, "
Starting NFS" message is seen for a long time without
any errors. The NFS service takes about 10-12 minutes
to start. It works fine for about two days and again
the above-mentioned problem reoccurs.

Suggestions required about what the problem could be.

Thanks

Yogesh
