Dear All,
Generally I find the discussion on the trouble we face with Kppp. I mean the 'time out
occured while waiting for the pppd interface to come up' problem. But, I find no
proper solution being spelt out for this. This is principal reason for which I shunned
Mandrake, and of course, other distributions that depend on kppp. I use Suse and it
uses kinternet/wvdial - I never face any trouble in this setup. My trying Mandrake, as
said above, was disastrous with regards to internet.
My question is - is this a bug, either in kppp or pppd? If such trouble is universal
(I find a comment on this in twiki of mdk), why not a solution is found? Or is there
any configuration workaround for this?
May I seek your opinion on this?
Regards,
Rajesh
