I am using an Epson Stylus C41-SX (Parallel Port) printer with Mandrake
9.1.

There's a peculiar problem I am facing these days with this printer. I
was printing a document with Open Office, and after a few pages, it
suddenly stopped and the moving assembly (head & cartridges) started
vibrating / knocking in place.

Even restarting the printer, rebooting did not help. Even booting into
Win98 to check its operation there did not help.

However, taking the printer to the dealer, it worked fine there under
Win 2000. No problems at all.

Now again at home its the same thing. I checked the cable etc. All fine.
I wonder if the Linux drivers for this one cause some problem.

Any insight ?

The printer prints fine when not giving this problem. However, I dont
know what can I do to get it started again.
