Check http://www.archlinux.org as well. It is most BSDish distro. I have come across. Single /etc/rc.conf.. Wow!!.. It also has source and binary build. ABS(Arch build system) is quite a mimic of BSD ports. Of course it is still catching up with BSD but still. One thing I really liked about it is that it had preconfigured mirrors.
