Hello,

I run  Bind9 on my Debian  machine at office (leased  line with static
IP). We down our server once in  a week. IAC, bind stores the cache in
memory only.   So each time  I restart the  server, the cache  will be
rebuild. Some times  I see the dig error as shown  below. I don't know
this error is because of that.

I want to know whether BIND cache can be saved to a file. I know pdnsd
will do  this job. But that  is normaly meant for  dialup machines. Is
there any better DNS program which caches in file other than pdnsd. 

Please enlighten me.
