I guess you are using a redhat type distro. ntsysv is the command to setup all the services thru a curses based interface. redhat-config-services is the command to setup the services using a gui. chkconfig is the manual way of doing the same. Or if you want a more manual way just create a Sxxidentd symbolic link pointing to /etc/rc.d/init.d/identd at rc.3 or whatever runlevel you want to use identd and a corresponding Kxxidentd in the rc.0 and rc.6 directory. xx is a number that you have to decide based on the dependencies of your startup script. -G.Vinubalaji ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
