well personally i have never used ytalk so i dont know if it actually logs
your sessions however  ido know that gaim does...or doesnt accoding to
your preferences...so i guess if ytalk does not log ur session then you
should migrate to gaim.
to mail the logs you can write a script to mail the log to urself and
execute it every time you exit the chat session or you can also set up a
cron job to check if there are any new logs and if there are then you can
mail them to urself.
i would proceed this way.
also a good thing about gaim logs are that you can view them on mozilla as
you can encode them into html.
soif you have a webserver running on ur machine then you can straight off
save the logs in a public directory.
