| i have a problem. the situation is like | | i have a dial-in server set up at my head office through mgetty. other | offices connect using ppp dialer from windows / linux systems to get | connected to HO for net services. the modem i use at the dial-in server is | a Motorola voiceSUPER voice/fax/data modem. i want mgetty to detect the | incomming telephone numbers and reply in data mode only if it is from a | certain number. otherwise it should not reply the call. i have | configured the mgetty.config following its documentation like
The problem lies with the modem or BSNL lines. Most of the modem will fail to read caller ID.
