I always feel pppconfig is better than wvdial. No need to put wvdial &
etc.    "pon    providername"   for   connecting    and   "poff"   for
disconnecting.  pppconfig  supports PAP,  CHAP,  and  chat methods  of
authentication. 

 Some features supported by pppconfig are:
 
   - Multiple ISPs with separate nameservers. 
   - Modem detection. 
   - Dynamic DNS. 
   - Dial on demand.
