I am running sendmail on redhat linux , but mail server is not able to send mails to hotmail accounts only. For other domains it sends( there is no problem)

name lookup failure
DNS lookup problem.
Try doing dig mx1.hotmail.com on the dns server you are using.
If it doesn't work, try doing rndc reload (or ndc reload, or whatever) to flush old cached dns entries and try again. Or if you use someone else's nameservers in resolv.conf, try finding another set of nameservers that you can use.
