It stopped when the install the was about to complete 10 minutes before. It said that it was a fatal error because of a media failure. I tried to install it again. But i had to see the same error but this time just 20 minutes after the installation was started. It was working fine before. But when i tried to repartition and re install i see this error. I would be thankful if anyone can help me.I am newbie.

Hello, I have a machine with win98 loaded and having C,D,E,F,G drives. C is primary partition and the rest are logical partitions. I tried to install linux (RedHat) by deleting the Logical E drive and then creating three partitions as follows : /boot ---> 100MB /swap ---> 256 MB / ---> rest of space.
Before all this, I checked the CD and it had no media errors. Now, the partitions were created successfully. But while copying the files into the disk, the computer got stuck mid way. Then I rebooted and started the whole process again. But it happened a second time. What could be wrong? Is it not possible to install linux on a logical partition? Or do I have to create a primary partition to install linux?
Thanks in advance Ravi --
