Hi,
while installing berkeley DB engine from sleepycat on redhat 9.0 system. it generates an error like this:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] db-4.2.52]# ./dist/configure checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking if building in the top-level or dist directories... yes configure: error: Berkeley DB should not be built in the top-level or dist directories.
Don't run ./dist/configure
Read the README / INSTALL Files. Or get an RPM of berkeley db (db4, db4-devel) from Redhat.
