Raju, are you  sure, you have OO installed with  java support ?
If you install it with the java runtime environment (jre => ver
1.4.x)  support at  the time  of installation,  this should  be
automatically enabled  (the checkbox  for java  in security  is
checked).  The  problem may  arise  if  OO has  been  installed
intially without jre  support. Merely having java  in $PATH may
not be adequate ...

You can use aliases to  decrease the amount of typing you need
to do to get commands you commonly use. You can  place them in
your startup file (.login) as well. Under csh and tcsh: 
alias lf ls -FA
alias ll ls -lA
