Firstly, you cant. PAsswords are generally stored as hashes. If an user supplied password is to be matched to this, then the user password has to be run through the same process to receive an hash which is compared to the hash in database.


You should store the password as-is in the ldif file. The authenticate process should be able to handle encrypted passwords as before.
