just before you hit "enter" to boot, knoppix, you can press F2 to get a list of cheat codes.
i don't have a knoppix cd with me right now, but if i remember correctly type:
knoppix screen=800x600 xvrefresh=60
then press enter at the boot prompt. i think a resolution of 800x600 is just about perfect for 15" monitors.
you could also pass on the "lang=us" option to the above.
also as already pointed out please refrain from using all caps. i'm not blind yet.
