Hello,

I am using RH 8.0. When I run X under KDE and then switch to a different
console (with ctrl+alt) then the X locks up with errors like

Invalid Entry (Missing '=') at /usr/bin/pam-panel-icon:82
Invalid Entry (Missing '=') at /usr/bin/pam-panel-icon:83
Invalid Entry (Missing '=') at /usr/bin/pam-panel-icon:84
:
:

Qobject::connect:No such slot Kwrited::block_in(const char*,int)
Qobject::connect: (Sender name :'unnamed')
Qobject::connect: (Receiver name :'unnamed')
Error: permission error in pam_timestamp_check
Pam_timestamp_check : pam_timecstamp : /var/ permission lax

While searching the Internet I found one bugzilla entry as bug no. 65136 and
this says to replace the driver for the ATI Reg driver. But the link
provided is not working. May be RedHat has removed all the resources as they
don't support RH 8.0 anymore.

Can you suggest what can be the work around?

With regards,

Goutam
