Hi all
Two days I faced a problem
PCs running windows 2000 & XP
I saw winupd32.exe and windows_upd.exe in process
I found my CPU usage 100%
My internet upload bandwidth speed is very high rate
(Bits / sec)
Faced problem to connect net.
So I scaned PC using norton antivirus 2003 with latest
update. And also used spybot, ad-aware, spybouncer
with latest for scanning worms.
But both could not find this exe as bad.
Acutally I found these exe accidently, I removed from
registry and also from c:\winnt\sytem32
Now machines and bandwidth working fine.
I faced this problem around 22 pcs in my network
When i removed winupd32.exe and windows_upd.exe all
problems solved.
Any idea about these files. How its came in to pc .
Why its not detected by norton and other spybot,
ad-aware, spy bouncer. (Problem started from
septermber 2)
