I was trying to install PCQ Linux 2004 on my iomega USB HDD. My system's BIOS accepted it as a bootable device and during installation linux showed a message saying that it identified a usb storage device. But during partiioning with diskdruid only my IDE hdd was listed and USB storage was not there. How can i install linux in that external HDD alone? what should i do for that
See if you can do this using fdisk (command line)
Best would be to boot in from a knoppix or slackware cd and use linux fdisk to partition the disk
