Hello,
Recently, I bought myself the latest Linuxforu mag which
contained the liveCD of gnoppix. I tried it out and found it to work
allright. It has a graphical installer which allows one to install the
OS on to the Hard disk. I tried it and it seems to copy the files -
but after it has coppied about 1.5 GB of data, it finishes the
copying (i believe around 2GB of data is packed into a live cd). And
if I try to boot into the newly copied OS, It gets stuck partway
through the booting (somewhere near loading sysconfig daemon). Then I
try to boot into it by chrooting using a redhat 8.0 CD and I find that
the files are not all copied.
Has any body been faced by this problem?
2) Is there any way of copying all the contents of a live cd on to the
harddisk manually instead of using an installer. will it work?
