Subject: Re: INSTALLING RHL9 ON CYRIX MII, 64MB RAM
--- Begin Message ---
Hi
Cyrix MII is an old socket 7 chip? I have had the same problem with my Cyrix MII on
128M Ram. It would not install. I changed the processor with another IBM socket 7
processor ,which was lying around useless for sometime. Now it works well on RH9.
Incidently, i took out the 128M SD RAM and replaced with just old 8MB EDO Ram. To my
suprise ,it still boots fine and works like a song over a network!
My problem is ,I need SD RAM for this old machine. Any chance to get SD RAM cheap.
regards
Nataraj
