Hi List,
I find somewhere in the Net that to check the goodness of CD we can use

dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/dev/null

If the o/p is without any errors then CD is fine.

I checked this with a CD i have. I got the following o/p

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/dev/null
dd: reading `/dev/cdrom': Input/output error
2392+0 records in
2392+0 records out

CD is partially written and I can understand that reading beyond that
gives I/O error. While giving following command with blocks

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/dev/null count=2392
2392+0 records in
2392+0 records out

Here I have specified the blocks in "count" parameter. My question is,
is there any way to find the bytes currently used in CD so that I can
specify in "dd" command.

TIA
Moorthy
