RHEL includes a utility to do this - called certwatch. Comes as part of RHEL mod_ssl RPM. It generates (right now, only for webserver certificates) warning emails on pending certificate expiry (30 days notice, I think). For X.509 certificates, this command will work: openssl x509 -enddate -in /path/to/cert.crt -noout Binand ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
