As Thaths already mentioned, FC2 will work just fine with a 2.4 kernel, though getting a 2.4 kernel to work with FC3 might be a little more tricky. If your box has a Wi-Fi card or SATA disks or other devices that require a driver found only in the 2.6 kernels, these may not work under 2.4. Though SATA was backported from the 2.6 series to the 2.4 series, I don't know if the backport supports all the SATA chipsets that the 2.6 kernels support. Regards, Vinu.
