I have gone through the site http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/archive-fourth/msg03690.html for the above purpose. It needs a module snd-intel8x0m.ko. I couldn�t find it in my laptop. Do I have compile the kernel for this? If from where to get source. my kernel is 2.6.10-kanotix-8. Or is it necessary to download alsa tar and install it?
