On a 2.6 kernel your SATA drive would show up as a scsi disk.. /dev/sda
probably ... when the installer is run go into the console and see if you are
able to see the device ... try running "fdisk /dev/sda" and see if it works.

On a 2.4 kernel I think it still shows up as an IDE device. (/dev/hde or
something)
