Dear all, I am using DSL 512 Kbps broadband connection with DSL 906e 10 Mbps router. I had two static IP address. one IP is used for Linux 6.2 system and second is used for Windows 2000 server.
My Linux box had two LAN cards and same setup in my Windows box In Linux system eth0 is configured for internal IP network, and eth1 is configured for external IP network. Same thing in Widows system LAN 1 is for internal IP network and LAN 2 for External static IP network. My DSL router is working in bridge mode, also I have two switches for WAN Switch 1 and switch 2 for LAN Means DSL router uplink, eth1 of Linux system, LAN2 of widows system are terminated in switch 1. Eth0 and LAN1 is terminated in switch 2 with other local systems are connected. My Linux box works as mail server / proxy server for my network, and my windows server is running as webserver for my clients ( they access website using static IP address ). Recently I had received different IP address from VSNL in the replacement of my old IP addresses and my problem starts from that day. At morning when I start both servers it works fine for 2 or 3 hours after some time my wan goes down. While in this down time if I removed LAN 2 cable from switch 1 my Linux server will works fine, if I put it back to switch it link goes down again. and linux server stop pinging to VSNL DNS server. I cant identify the problem VSNL support team also work here from last 1 month but problem not solved please help me what can I do? Thanks and regards Swapnil K. System Group Modular Infotech Pvt.
