Thanks for the tip. But I still have a problem. The tty logins are OK now, after I changed the SCREEN_FONT in /etc/console-tools/config to latcyrheb-sun16.psf. XTerm is also fine. However, in konsole, the same problem persists. Now, in /etc/, there is a directory called terminfo. Within this directory, there are many single letter subdirectories. In `x', there are the files: xterm xterm-color xterm-debian xterm-mono xterm-r5 xterm-r6 xterm-vt220 xterm-xfree86. There are also many files in /usr/lib/terminfo/. Many of them are symlinks to the files in /etc/terminfo. And, as I said earlier, XTerm works fine. So, this isn't absolutely critical, but making konsole work would be nice anyway.
