(have tried my best to search the archives but could
not find any post which gave me a suitable answer)
i am running RH9...i have been connecting to the
internet using bsnl's netone accountless internet
connection..had no problem connecting from
windows..now, in linux, i have tried connecting using
kppp but havent been very successful(using dns
settings as domain:sancharnet.in and dns
server:61.0.0.5)..most of the times, the dns lookup
doesnt work..my browser keeps saying "looking up
www.**.com"..(am sure that it gets connected properly
as i have been able to access google using
66.249.93.104/.) but i tried connecting by just
activating my modem from the network window(system
settings->network) and it has worked without any
glitch..can someone tell me where the problem lies and
what the solution is as i need to be wary of my
connection time which the latter method doesnt tell me
and kppp does a very good job with this..
