I am trying to setup OOo on my system to handle Devnagari input. However, I do not want _any_ other currently running application to handle Devnagari input. Further, I want to have certain xchat and gaim windows to have Devnagari, but the rest should stay English (This is a nice to have, but not necessary function).
My current status is that I can enable Devnagari input for all applications. I run Windowmaker, and I can't get skim or scim working. scim dies off claiming to have failed to initialised the XIM server. Smart Common Input Method 1.2.3 Launching a SCIM process with x11... Loading -c Config module ... Creating backend ... Loading x11 FrontEnd module ... Starting SCIM ... scim::FrontEnd: X11 -- failed to initialize XIM Server! SCIM has exited abnormally. Suggestions? Oo is a test application, I would like to be able to use any subset of i18n'ised X applications in this way.
