Are you saying that requests to the web server (apache) running on your proxy box needs to be chached? The solution I gave you enables cacheing of all other web requests /except/ the ones to the web server running on the box itself. That is not a bad solution, really. Why do you need accesses to the web server running on the proxy box to go through squid? What do you mean by "can't use port 80 for apache"?
