Hi,

I have SuSE 9.3 Professional running on my IBM ThinkPad T41 (using an
external USB HDD). Everything works fine except for the WiFi
connectivity. The chipset is detected as Atheron and YaST2 attempts to
configure it as well, but no luck with connectivity.

Atheros chipset, madwifi driver - http://madwifi.sf.net.

You could also check - http://vsharma.net/thinkpad-t41p-fedora-core1/#wireless-wifi-bluetooth

Instructions are Fedora/Redhat based but with little tweaking, should work for Suse too.

My WiFi router is a DI-524 running WPA-PSK auth.
