Dear friends, This is call for volunteer contributors to Ankur Bangla Project (www.ankurbangla.org). The focus of the project to work in the area of open source localization (i.e. enabling local language and local customs into software) for various projects like GNOME, KDE, Mozilla/Firefox, OpenOffice etc. A large part of the work includes translation of User-Interface text. I'm writing to you to start up a team of volunteer developers at WBUT. Those of you who are interested in participating in the project please inform me at the earliest so that we can start it off without further delay. Once we have a small group (it can be a large group as well) in place, we will first hold an orientation workshop, followed by installation of Bangla locale and OTF fonts on your individual linux boxes. We can also talk to the University to allocate a few machines for this purpose as well. If you need further details, you can mail me (on this list or in priv) or call me on my cell. -indranil. -- >From Untruth, lead me to the Truth, >From Darkness, Lead me towards the Light, >From Death, Lead me to Life Eternal. ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Tame your development challenges with Apache's Geronimo App Server.
