Mozilla-Thunderbird did not allow more than one smtp (tried in both
Debian and Ubuntu). So I have switched over to Evolution.
Apart from the fact that I dont like thunderbird that much either, you
can have more than one outgoing SMTP servers.
To set it up -
Tools -> Account Settings -> Outgoing server (SMTP) -> Advanced... -> Add...
Fill in the details and click your way out of the dialog boxes.
To use, go into Tools -> Account settings..., click on the "server
settings" tree menu option of the account you want to change, click on
the "Advanced..." button, click on the SMTP tab on the top and select
the new smtp server from the drop down list.
