I cant answer specific to PCQ 2005 Linux but all you need to do is look
for 1537 in the output of dmesg. In and around that you should see
reference to /dev/st0 assuming this is the first or probably the only
tape device.

If the above is true then all you need to do to interact with the tape
drive is talk to /dev/st0

Beyond this what you store in your tape drive depends on the
application you use for backup. For pure command line backup you could
simply do a tar and save to /dev/st0 instead of a plain file on the
filesystem.
