Hi,

I have been using sendmail 8.9.3 that came along with Redhat-6.0 and it need not listen on the localport 25 just to send a mail in the command line like /usr/sbin/sendmail [EMAIL PROTECTED] It directly connected with the remote smtp port . But in the later versions ( 8.12.11 ), when I send a mail, it connects to the localport 25 and uses the localhost as the relay.

Is there a configuration option to get the previous behaviour in sendmail without making it to listen on any port. Could someone give me your inputs on this.

Thanks
-logu
